NEW  The databases and shapefiles for the 2021 paper in Earth Science Reviews on Layered Intrusions by Will Smith and Wolf Maier can be downloaded from the Downloads Page. You can add other intrusions on Will's website.

UPCOMING  A Virtual Platinum Symposium will be held in early-mid 2022 that will focus on the work of Early Career Researchers and MSc-PhD Students worldwide. The meeting will be  a prequel to the 2023 Platinum Symposium, and  a great opportunity for students to showcase their research to their peers. If you are an ECR or student and wish to be involved in the organisation of the Symposium, please contact Will Smith <smithwd1@cardiff.ac.uk>. Information is posted on the IPS Page.

PLANNED  The next International Platinum Symposium will be held in mid-2023 in Cardiff with field trips planned to Unst, Troodos, and other localities. Information will be posted on the IPS Page

PLANNED  The next International Ni-Cu-PGE Symposium will be held in summer 2024 at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay with field trips planned to 1) Lac des Iles Mine, 2)  Current Lake and Escape Lake PGE-Cu-Ni Deposits in the Thunder Bay North Project area, and 3) Marathon deposits. Other potential trips include 1) Regional Geology of the 1.1 Ga Midcontinent Rift System on the northern shore of Lake Superior in  Canada and USA, and 2) Archean greenstone belts with Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization. Information is  posted on the INS Page and will be sent to the MAGSUL_L list server
